The Woodbooger Freeride is a permitted and registered downhill gravity sport event.
This event is named after the city of Norton’s famous local sasquatch, “The Woodbooger.”
Athletes can expect to be immersed in the dense forest as they make their way down a winding road starting from the Upper Norton Reservoir, and ending at Legion Park.
Athletes will have unlimited opportunities to descend the hill on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm.
The event will be staffed, closed for traffic, and have road protection to the same standards as X Games.
There will be parking on the hill, as well as a food truck available for lunch.
Lodging is not included in this event, but can be found in the area through Hotels and Airbnb’s. There is no additional camping facilities in the city of Norton, but can be found in surrounding counties.
*Only registered Volunteers have the opportunity to camp on the hill(flag rock recreational area) the sites available to us are very few, and very small*
*This is an advanced level event. Athletes will be expected to have experience controlling speeds at and in excess of 30mph
*Lodging is not included in this event. However, can be found in a variety of Hotels and ABNB’s. Camping is very limited in the area
*Rain or shine
*The road is not to be skated outside of the event day. This event is your chance !
