About The Author

About the Author: Naomi Dickenson Wells is 81 years old, the mother of four, three daughters and one son. She has eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She has been a widow for fourteen years.

Mrs. Wells was a columnist for The Post, a weekly Big Stone Gap newspaper, for 43 years.

She received her formal education at East Stone Gap High School in East Stone Gap, Virginia.

She attended Durham’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wells passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2001, at age 83. She will not only be missed by her family but my countless others who were inspired and blessed by her newspaper articles and books for many years.
