To Offer a Birding in the Gap Monthly Series
Big Stone Gap, VA. The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will offer a monthly Birding in the Gap series on the second Saturday of each month. The next series will be on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. The monthly Birding in the Gap series will be hosted by park rangers and volunteers.
Participants who are interested in the Birding in the Gap series should meet volunteers and park staff at the front gate of the museum. Participants will walk around the museum grounds and along the beautiful greenbelt of the Powell River. Each month a different topic will be discussed. This month’s topic will be feeders.
The Birding in the Gap monthly series will be held rain or shine. Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and comfortable walking shoes. Binoculars are encouraged but not required.
