The Big Stone Gap Super Soup Saturday Cook Off is coming March 7th at the Big Stone Gap Visitor Center, and it is going to be delicious.

Set up begins at 9 AM
Judging starts at 12 PM

We are serving up serious bragging rights and cash prizes.
First Place takes home 150 dollars
Second Place wins 100 dollars
Third Place earns 50 dollars
Plus awards and a trophy for the People’s Choice Award.

Think your recipe has what it takes?

Soups will be judged on aroma, consistency, visual presentation, taste, and overall heartiness. Bring enough soup for multiple samples and for our judges to get the full experience.

And do not limit yourself. We are welcoming all kinds of creations, including soups, stews, ramen, pho, bisque, chowder, purees, consommés, broths, bouillons, gazpacho, and minestrone. If it belongs in a bowl and brings the flavor, we want it.

Whether you are competing or coming to taste, this is going to be a fun, flavorful day in Big Stone Gap.
