Lonesome Pine Regional Library is the best place to discover, to learn, to imagine, to smile.
Lonesome Pine Regional Library will be the cornerstone of the region where children and adults can experience personal enrichment and connect with one another as we:
• Promote the love of reading.
• Excel at providing resources to customers of all ages.
• Create welcoming spaces for our community.
At his death, C. Bascom Slemp left a trust with the stipulation that the money be used to help the people of Lee and Wise Counties which he served as Congressman. Due to his far sightedness, the community has benefited from his assistance. The library is one such recipient and is one of nine branches of The Lonesome Pine Regional Library System. The collection consists of over 70,000 items which serve the region.
