Mountain Artisans Blue Highway Vendor Application

Show Dates and Hours:

October 11 & 12, 2024 11 am to 9 pm on Friday 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday

Setup Dates and Hours:

Craft Vendors can set up between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm on October 10th, 2024. For more information email: mountainartisansofbigstonegap@gmail.com Vendors must supply their own tables and tents.

Vendor Screening:

All new applicants will be screened by a jury. All decisions by the jury are final. Photos of recent work are required. Please e-mail photos to: mountainartisansofbigstonegap@gmail.com or refer us to your online photos in your description via link. A website URL or Facebook page link is also acceptable for the jury to review. Applications without photos, website URL or Facebook info will not be considered. A Notice of Acceptance or Non-Acceptance will be emailed to applicants within 2 weeks of application submission.

Examples of Unacceptable Vendors:

Plastic Canvas Needlepoint, Plastics, Velvet Paintings, Plastic Doll Faces, Plastic Fruit, Styrofoam, Silk Flower Hats, PVC/Plastic Pipe Items, Pre-painted Fabric (pillows and quilts), Pre-quilted Items, Stenciled Quilts, Purchased Baskets (all must be handcrafted), Fake Furs, Painted T-Shirts and Sweatshirts, or Sublimated items. Anyone selling third party items purchased for resale or Multi-level marketers will not be permitted. No retail jewelry permitted–all jewelry must be handmade. All information vendors must represent **non-profit** organizations.

Examples of Acceptable Vendors:

Heritage Artisans hand crafting items to include: Quilts, Needlework, Woodcraft, Basketry, Straw Brooms, Corn Husk craft items, Wood burning, Leather Work, Soap, Grapevine and hand-decorated Wreaths, Chair Caning, Pottery, Candle-making, Carving, Crochet, Bees and Honey, Wooden Toys, Stained Glass, Portraits/Framed Photos or prints, Musical Instruments, Homemade Caramel Apples, Apple Cider, Rag Dolls, Tatting, Weaving, Goat Cheese, Apple Butter, Cornmeal grinding, Spinning, Knitting, Blacksmithing and others as determined by jury. Vendors with items that support the bluegrass theme such as instruments, heritage crafts and music related items will receive priority. Demonstrations of craft are encouraged!

Description of items sold

All items for sale must be made by hand by the vendor, family member or contracted artisan. No resale, 3rd party or MLM items please. Mountain Artisans of Big Stone Gap reserves the right to deny vendor participation in sponsored events.

By clicking SUBMIT below, the vendor agrees to follow all rules set herein, and agrees to protect and hold the Mountain Artisans and Town of Big Stone Gap harmless and to indemnify the leader from any and all claims demands, suits, actions, judgements and recoveries for or on account of damage, theft, injury (including death) to property or person occurring as a result of lessees use of the leased property and any other cause whatsoever. The vendor also agrees to the use of any photos, videos and other images in which said vendor may appear, to be used for promotional purposes.
