First Fridays Open Mic Nights – Lincoln Road Coffee House
Norton, VA – Local artists of all types are invited to take the stage during the First Fridays Open Mic series at Lincoln Road Coffee Lounge in Norton. Poets, musicians, actors, comedians, singers, visual artists, animators, writers, dancers, storytellers, and more are all welcome! Pro-Art is partnering with Lincoln Road to offer the series on the first Friday of each month beginning February 2nd. Sign-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m. and performances will start at 7 p.m. The series is free and open to the public, and you don’t have to perform to attend. Please come out to support the local artists of our community.
Artists who plan to showcase their work should limit their performance to 7-10 minutes. This will allow us to maximize our time to hear from as many artists as possible. Due to the nature of an open-participation event, parental discretion is advised.
Lincoln Road has a simple mission “drink good coffee, do good things.” The coffee shop and roastery focuses on making high-quality products and doing good things for their neighbors here and beyond. The lounge is located at 736 Park Ave NW located beside Veteran’s Park and across the street from the old Coalfield Progress building. Street parking is available in front and behind the building.
